Firstly, we head to Pico do Arieiro. Standing at an altitude of 1818 meters, it is considered the third highest point on Madeira Island. Here we will be able to enjoy the incredible view over Madeira Island and, possibly, over Porto Santo. We continue towards Ribeiro Frio where we will have the opportunity to take a short walk named “Balcões”. We then head to Santana, a town known for its characteristical triangular-shaped houses, built with distinctive building materials, such as straw for the roofs (“traditional Santana houses”). We will also have the opportunity to visit Faial. Known for its infamous black sand beach and the spectacular “crane” viewpoint. In Porto da Cruz we can visit factories better known as Engenhos do Norte. We continue our journey to Ponta de São Lourenço, where you can enjoy fantastic views over the Madeiran sea. We finish our journey by the Funchal bay, but only after visiting Cristo Rei. After visiting the Funchal bay we shall return to our starting point.
